Goals and Objectives
Open Arms Counseling and Transition Center's goal is to become a comprehensive and trusted provider of mental health services. We are a nonprofit 501(c)3 operating in Colorado.
Rosalind Pistilli - Therapist - Executive Director - Waitlist - Rosalind is currently accepting new clients.
Rosalind is an LCSW (CO, WA, FL) LISW-S (OH) CCTP. Rosalind is the Executive Director of Open Arms Transition Center and provides supervision and counseling services. Rosalind has over 14 years in the mental health field providing therapy to clients going through many of life's transitions. Rosalind specializes in PTSD, LGBTQ, Anxiety, and Relationship issues. Using Brainspotting, DBT, CBT, Solution focused brief therapy, TF-CBT and other modalities, Rosalind strives to assist clients with a treatment plan tailored to their specific needs. Rosalind is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and a certified life coach. Rosalind lives in northern Colorado with her family and pets. Rosalind holds a BA in Psychology from the Ohio State University and an MSW from the University of Akron.
Rosalind works with clients 16 and older and with couples.
Courtney Hjort - Therapist - Openings available
Courtney is an LSW in Colorado and has experience in trauma, suicidality, mood disorders such as anxiety and depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, and panic disorder. She also has experience within the competitive equine world helping professionals and amateurs alike in building tools to manage fear, anxiety, and overall issues that can impact competitiveness. Courtney also has experience in working with equine veterinarians who struggle with their work. Courtney is trained in Brainspotting. She previously worked in community mental health where she gained a depth of knowledge working with individuals from every walk of life. Courtney is passionate about finding the best modality of therapy for each individual with the overall goal of increasing satisfaction with life. She believes strongly in building a therapeutic relationship in which each client feels safe, respected, and heard. Courtney earned her Masters of Social Work at the University of Denver and her undergraduate degree in psychology at the University of Colorado - Denver. Courtney works with adolescents, young adults and adults. She lives in Denver with her spouse, 3 cats, 2 dogs, and 3 horses.
Jennifer Peterson - Therapist - Openings available
Jennifer is an LSW in Colorado and has over 2 years of experience as a therapist and over 4 years of experience in case management. She has experience in trauma and works well with children and youth. Jennifer utilizes a client-centered approach in her sessions with her clients. Jennifer is trauma informed and has completed training in Brainspotting. Jennifer is comfortable working with children 12 and older and specializes in domestic violence and intimate partner violence. Jennifer excels at working with individuals in the LGBTQIA community and is trained in providing letters for WPATH gender affirming requirements. Jennifer lives in the Denver area.
